This early platinum print illustrates the serenity that Curtis often conveyed in his photographs, in this case, enhanced by the beautiful River in which the subject stands, the black River in Arizona.

  • This print is in excellent condition overall. There is very minor silvering at the lower margin edge, which is typical in Curtis platinum prints of this era. There is minor surface loss at the upper and left margin edge on print verso. The print recto is not affected.
